I was browsing the new album releases at OPM section in Tower Records, ATC when I noticed a seemingly sesame-street-like album cover. Oh! \”Halina sa Parokya\” is the title of the album. Without doubt, that\’s a Parokya ni Edgar album. Hilarious, I thought. Chito and Vinci made up 2 puppets that resemble themselves (look closer, you\’ll see)! There goes Buwi looking like the dirtbag Oscar the grouch. I don\’t know about the rest…. I don\’t recognize their imitated characters. They look… odd.
It seems that this album cover was inspired by Sesame Street and its local counterpart Batibot. I don\’t know why… I just laughed when I saw the cover. LOL. That\’s so wity and humorous. They look like kids trying to portray Batibot and Sesame Street desperately. On the musical side, the tunes of Parokya ni Edgar in this album stay true to their roots, keeping the songs distinguishably Parokya ni Edgar. Most of the lyrics in this album are so comical you\’ll just laugh in between tracks. That\’s the typical Parokya ni Edgar style that no one could match.
The familiar song \”First Day Funk\” as featured by Rexona is included in this album. I wasn\’t surprised when I heard a rap song in the album because of Parokya ni Edgar\’s influences in rap. The song is titled \”Bagsakan\” featuring Francis Magalona and Gloc-9. Man, that\’s really a good collaboration. There\’s also a song entitled \”Walang Nangyari\”, a spoof of Andrew E\’s hit single \”Andrew Ford Medina\”. Here\’s my favorite… \”The Ordertaker\”, a somewhat explicit yet funny rendition of System of a Down\’s \”Toxicity\”. Just listen to it and you\’ll be surprised how close Parokya ni Edgar managed to perform instrumentals as good as the original.
Of course there are more songs in the album, but the songs I mentioned above captured most of my attention while listening the sample CD in Tower Records… Geeez, I wanted to get a copy of that album but I didn\’t have the budget. Nevermind, I will manage to get one soon. :D
I find these quotes amusing.. :P

It is technically impossible (meaning: I don\’t feel like doing it);
It depends (meaning: abandon all hope of a useful answer);

I\’m very fond of donuts lately. I\’m not sure why. (lol, a fanciful image of Homer Simpson suddenly flashed in my head!) I just like donuts because they are sweet and tasty, especially chocolate-coated donuts because I\’m a chocoholic.
I either buy from Mister Donuts or Dunkin Donuts. I really can\’t figure out which is better in taste; however, I am more inclined to Dunkin Donuts. I take out half dozen donuts most of the time on my way back home and share some with my brother. Nothing\’s lovelier than sharing it with your love ones.
I don\’t know if there are better donuts out there. So out of curiosity, I couldn\’t contain my eagerness to taste Other donuts. I want to know how other donuts taste. Maybe I\’ll post my experience if I remember to post a follow-up.
I have recovered the torrents I have deleted… after 4 longs days of continuous downloads… I feel relieved although I feel like I wasted time just to redownload them all again. *sigh*
Anyway, I have been fiddling with the latest version of DC++ lately. After several years, I stopped using it but I decided to give it a try again. I had it working in my router after opening the appropriate port, but it\’s quite troublesome.
Now, let\’s jump to audio books… I got my first audio book and it\’s The Da Vinci Code. I haven\’t read it yet so I am more interested on the audio book so I could experience it better. I\’m not going to hear just the audio book, I\’m going to hear it as I read — in sync with the book. That\’s my idea of audio book — a failsafe reading assistant. I have read the first 3 chapters and I am loving it. :D
I feel stupid tonight because I accidentally deleted 5 GB torrents files in a folder when I\’m about to burn it in a DVD-R already! I tried to recover them all but I could only recover 1.6 GB because I have set my recycle bin capacity to 1% of my drive only. x_x (that hurts!) Now… I have to download those torrents again….. how boring.
Here\’s the current wallpaper I\’m using.
Really cool huh?
In anniversary of Apollo 11, Google had a very unique way of honoring the first landing on the moon. They added NASA\’s Moon imagery in their maps including the exact landing locations. Here\’s the landing of Apollo 11:
And to crack it all, if you zoom in close enough, the moon will look like cheese!
