I’m a very happy µTorrent user. BitTorrent has never been so friendly to my PC ever since I switched to this BT client. I wrote about how I enjoyed using µTorrent 1.3 and right now I reiterate what I have said before — µTorrent is my favorite BT Client. The new release added more features to my delight without sacrificing the efficiency of this tiny little app.
What I really like in uTorrent 1.4 is the addition of statistics on help menu. This is the only missing feature that I missed since I switched from Azureus. I like viewing my aggregated file transfers and uptime but the previous version of uTorrent lacks that feature. Notable new features in µTorrent 1.4 are: secondary sort order, boss key option, RSS feed, speed wizard, tray behavior option, multi scrape and trackerless support (Mainline DHT). There are more features, bug fixes and changes… just check out the uTorrent changelog.
Btw, the program filesize is getting bigger but it’s still so small — only 130 kb for this release. If you are running an old version of uTorrent just load the new version; no upgrade required. No installation.
